Evil Dead, Sam Raimi’s cult masterpiece is the topic of discussion this week on the Russo Brothers’ Instagram series, Pizza Film School. Joining the Avengers’ filmmakers, AGBO’s Chris Markus and Deadline’s Pete Hammond.

Evil Dead is one of the most beloved horror franchises around. So, it was kind of inevitable that the filmmakers that brought us the extremely successful Avengers series would do an Instagram broadcast about Sam Raimi’s iconic masterpiece.

Before making a name for themselves in the MCU, the Russo Brothers directed several sitcoms like Arrested Development, Happy Endings and Community. Their industry pedigree is varied and impressive.

While in quarantine, the two siblings came up with the idea of doing a series of IG Live sessions where they would share their favorite movies with their fans. Their concept was very similar to a film club where they would post the works that influenced their careers so that they could discuss them with their followers.

Their idea would be to have some fun, chat about various productions and eat pizza. Let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to hang out with this duo?

Of course, Evil Dead is the perfect venture to watch while self-isolating. For those that love to be scared, nothing is more terrifying than being attacked by demons in a remote cabin in the woods. This is the unfortunate fate of the protagonist, Ash Williams played by a young, novice actor named Bruce Campbell.

To prepare for the broadcast you can stream Evil Dead on Netflix, VUDU, iTunes and Amazon Prime.
