Sam Raimi, the hardest working man in Hollywood is producing a NEW supernatural horror film.

Sam Raimi has a schedule that defies mere mortals. In addition to helming Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, he is also producing the latest film in his Evil Dead franchise, Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise. Not to mention Shrine with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and many other projects in development.

Yesterday, Deadline reported that Raimi Productions has acquired an untitled supernatural horror film to be helmed by Rob Savage. The young director is best known for his feature, Dawn of the Deaf.

This short film garnered Savage quite a bit of attention. In the vein of George A. Romero, the story focused on the origin of the zombie apocalypse as told through four different viewpoints involving deaf people.

Here is what we know of his future endeavor with Sam Raimi. Micah Ranum penned the script and the action will take place in one location.

Ranum’s latest venture is The Silencing which is waiting to be released and stars Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle: Creation) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones).

Zainab Azizi will be producing alongside Raimi for his production company. Starlight Media’s Peter Luo is an executive producer along with Rob Savage and Jed Shepherd.

As for Raimi, he is keeping very busy reviewing drafts of Evil Dead Rise, prepping Doctor Strange 2 and overseeing all the myriad of projects he has in various stages of development. Suffice it to say that it will be hard to predict when future news on this fledgling effort will be available.

While fans of the director are waiting to get their fix, Grindhouse Releasing is showcasing the original Evil Dead at drive-ins around the country. For information on locations, click on this link.
