Greg Kinnear & Courteney Cox: Scare up laughs in Shining Vale
Greg Kinnear and Courteney Cox will be scaring up laughs in the haunted house horror-comedy, Shining Vale for Starz.
Greg Kinnear is no stranger to comedies, neither is Courteney Cox. Now, the two will team up for a new horror comedy to air on Starz called Shining Vale. According to Deadline, the pilot is about Terry (Kinnear) and Pat Phelps (Cox), a couple with marital issues who relocate from the city to a rambling Victorian in Connecticut in the hopes of saving their troubled union.
While it seems like the move might help them rekindle their relationship, nothing could be further from the truth. Pat believes that she may be possessed and that the house is haunted. Meanwhile, Terry is skeptical but tries to support her without losing his sanity in the process.
Shining Vale is a collaboration between Sharon Horgan (Divorce) and Jeff Astrof (Trial & Error). They will also executive produce the show along with Warner Brothers Television and Lionsgate.
In addition to shooting Shining Vale, Greg Kinnear will be portraying Bob Hope in the upcoming comedy-drama Misbehaviour. He will also be starring in Dreamland, a thriller about the dark world of drug trafficking and addiction.
Look for the actor in CBS All Access’ re-imagining of The Stand as Glen Bateman. The series is set to premiere between October and December of this year.
Courteney Cox is also in pre-production on a television series, Last Chance U about Brittany Wagner, an athletic academic counselor and motivational speaker. As of yet, no confirmation has been made on whether or not the actress will reprise her role as Gale Riley in Scream 5.
Until Shining Vale premieres and if you want to see Kinnear in a horror film, catch him in Sam Raimi’s The Gift on Sony Crackle, PopcornFlix, Amazon Prime, CBS All Access, iTunes and Google Play.
