Tenebrae and other horror hits on Arrow Video Channel in August

Tenebrae, Dario Argento’s giallo classic, featuring the late John Saxon is one of the horror hits streaming on the Arrow Video Channel in August.

Tenebrae is one of Dario Argento’s giallo masterpieces. For those of you who like murder mysteries shrouded in blood, this particular film definitely hits the sweet spot. If you are a fan of red herrings, this is your story.

For Nightmare on Elm Street lovers, the late, great John Saxon, is featured along with 1970’s heart throb, Anthony Franciosa. Our tale begins when Peter Neal, (Franciosa) bestselling novelist is on tour in Europe to promote his latest work, Tenebrae.

Saxon plays his agent, Bullmer who has everything set up and ready to go from press junkets to television appearances. However, when the author arrives in Rome, he learns that his book was the basis for a murder.

Although, he was in flight while the death occurred, authorities are flummoxed as it would appear that a serial killer is on the loose. Alarmed at the growing number of victims, Peter decides to start investigating the murders himself with the help of his loyal assistant, Anne (Daria Nicolodi).

As the plot plays out, we discover that one of the reporters on the tour has an apparent vendetta against Neal. On top of that, the writer has a stalker ex-lover, Jane (Veronica Larrio) who has followed him to Italy. She is jealous and a tad unstable.
