Arielle Carver-O’Neill who played Ash Williams’ daughter, Brandy in Ash vs Evil Dead is the star of a hilarious short film, Hookers and Blow.
Arielle Carver-O’Neill first came to our attention in 2018 when she was cast as Brandy Barr, the daughter that Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) never knew he had in the last season of Ash vs Evil Dead. She immediately became a favorite character.
Her portrayal of the headstrong teenager and heir apparent to the hero who would eventually save the world from the Dark Ones, was extremely convincing and at times, heartbreaking. The actress held her own opposite television veterans Bruce Campbell and Lucy Lawless ensuring her a place in the Evil Dead legacy.
Prior to appearing on the American horror series, O’Neill was a mainstay on Australian television making her debut on the popular soap opera, Neighbours in 2011. After that stint, she appeared on the drama, Conspiracy 365, Suburbs and Worst Year of My Life, Again!
Since the cancellation of Ash vs Evil Dead, fans have been wondering what Arielle has been up to. Thanks to Evil Dead Italia, we have the answer to that question.
She is starring in the Brydi Frances’ short comedy film, Hookers and Blow where she plays a “lady of the evening” named Chanel. The premise of the story is a “fight” for turf rights between O’Neill’s character and her rival, Tiffany (Georgie Jennings).
Of course, everything gets blown out of proportion and the situation escalates culminating in a hilarious ending. Who wins the war? Watch the three-minute film and find out.
Arielle Carver-O’Neill is truly a joy to watch on screen. We hope to see more of her work in the future.
Until her next project, Ash vs Evil Dead can be streamed on Netflix, STARZ, Hulu, YouTube, Sling TV, Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play and VUDU.
