If you are into giallo, then this film from Argentina should be on your radar. Crystal Eyes is the story of supermodel, Alexis Carpenter who dies before her time in a horrible accident during a runway show.
A year later to mark the anniversary of Carpenter’s tragic demise, a high-profile fashion magazine editor picks two of Alexis’ colleagues to do a shoot. Of course, the night before the event is supposed to happen, someone steals the expensive dresses that once belonged to the deceased cover girl.
To make matters worse, various individuals start to disappear. Is this the work of a vengeful ghost or is there a living person behind the murders that has an ax to grind?
Maybe you aren’t into gory Italian murder mysteries and B movie schlock is more your scene. Arrow Video Channel has you covered. Return of the Killer Tomatoes! is ready to invade your television sets.
Believe it or not, there are some A-listers in Hollywood who started their careers doing horror movies. Clint Eastwood, Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Harvey Keitel are just some of the box office giants that were covered in blood at some point in a film.
Now, you can add George Clooney to that impressive roster. Return of the Killer Tomatoes! stars the actor and John Astin. Once again, tomatoes are going to wage war against humanity.
Astin plays Professor Gangreen, the engineer of the plot to overthrow earth. This mad scientist uses music to turn the vegetables into humans. With a tagline like, “The vegetables of doom return! They’re bad and this time they’re really stewed!” you know you are in for a screaming good time.
