What can we expect as Creepshow Season 2 enters production?

Shudder is starting production on Creepshow Season 2, with new episodes and a cast guaranteed to bring the scares!
Creepshow, the anthology series based on the classic collaboration between Stephen King and George A. Romero was resurrected by none other than horror veteran, Greg Nicotero last year. The first season exceeded expectations in terms of viewership, total minutes streamed, and new subscriptions making it the most watched show on Shudder.
A second season was announced but production was presumably delayed, until now. According to Deadline, Shudder will drop the six episode second season exclusively on the streaming service in 2021.
The network also teased the plots of two upcoming episodes. Here is what we know so far:
- The second season of Creepshow will feature four segments directed by show runner Greg Nicotero.
- Adam Polly (The Mindy Project) and Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) will star in Shapeshifters Anonymous Parts 1 and 2, which is a tale about a werewolf support group.
- Keith David (Tales From The Hood 2), Josh McDermitt (The Walking Dead), and Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser) bring their considerable talents to Pesticide, the story of an exterminator who makes a deadly deal.
Obviously as we get closer to the release date, more casting and story details will be revealed. Suffice it to say, this is exciting news!
Shudder and the show’s producers are adhering to proper COVID-19 social distancing guidelines while shooting during the pandemic. Of course, followers of the series are excited that Nicotero and company are going back to work creating fantastic horror.
Hopefully, Creepshow Season 2 will capture the spirit and magic of the first season. We could definitely use another cuddly monster like Bob in these stressful times.
