With a Screen Media deal, Bella Thorne’s thriller Girl, gets a release date. What can we expect from this film costarring Mickey Rourke?

Release dates, they are the bane of any film fans existence in the COVID-19 era. While its understandable why productions are being pushed back, it’s always exciting when we find out that a premier is actually happening.

In a deal with Screen Media, the new thriller, Girl starring Bella Thorne and Mickey Rourke will make its debut in November. According to Deadline, the film is written and directed by first timer, Chad Faust. Apparently, it promises to show us a whole different level of acting from Thorne who was last seen in Netflix’s, The Babysitter: Killer Queen.

Girl tells the story of a woman (Thorne) known only as Girl, who returns to her small town to take revenge on her abusive father. She’s surprised to find out that someone has beaten her to it and murdered him already.

As she searches for clues and answers she falls prey to the town’s sheriff (Rourke) and discovers secrets that probably should have stayed buried. Who doesn’t love a good mystery-thriller? Plus, Bella Thorne is always a joy to watch so this film should be compelling.

Screen Media acquired the rights to Girl ahead of its premier at Fantastic Fest. An exact date for the film’s release in November has yet to be announced.

It’s great to see veteran actor Mickey Rourke on screen once more. He always plays an excellent villain so this should be a great watch.

Some viewers might remember Chad Faust as Dean from the film Saved. With this array of talent, Girl will be a movie that you won’t want to miss.
