Oct.15:

The Mortuary Collection (Original) – In this anthology film, a young woman seeks a job with a mortician and challenges him to scare her with stories about the deaths he has dealt with over the years. Each of the four stories is set in a different decade, so we are treated to tales set in the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. (Also available on Shudder Canada, Shudder UK and Shudder ANZ)

Oct.19:

Sleep Tight  – Cesar is an unhappy doorman at an apartment building, and he sets out to upset each of the building’s tenants. He may have met his match in a tenant named Clara. (Also available on Shudder Canada)

Them (Ils) – Clementine and Lucas settle into a remote country home near Bucharest, and find themselves being tormented by a group of strangers. Them was well-received critically, and is usually grouped with French horror films such as High Tension, Martyrs and Inside.

Oct. 22:

32 Malasana Street (Exclusive) – In 1976, the Olmedo family moves to a neighborhood in Madrid. It seems they should have done a little research on their apartment because it turns out it’s haunted. (Also available on Shudder Canada, Shudder UK and Shudder ANZ)

Oct. 23:

Joe Bob’s Halloween Hideaway (9:00 p.m. ET)– Joe Bob serves up a Halloween double feature from his remote retreat. Though no announcement has been made as of yet, it looks like we may be watching something Evil Dead related (judging by the promo shot). (Also available on Shudder Canada)

Oct. 26:

The Creepshow Halloween Special – This animated feature includes two tales. Stephen King’s Survivor Type tells the story of a man stranded on a deserted island. Kiefer Sutherland lends his voice talent to the main character, who is determined to survive. Joe Hill penned Twittering from the Circus of the Dead, which features Joey King as a teenager on a road trip with her family. One of the family’s stops (perhaps their last) is a creepy circus. (Also available on Shudder Canada, Shudder UK and Shudder ANZ)

Oct. 29:

May the Devil Take You Too (Original) – Director Tino Tjahjanto returns with this sequel to his 2018 hit film May the Devil Take You. Alfie (Chelsea Islan) is still haunted by the events of two years ago, and now she and her friends find their lives in danger once again. (Also available on Shudder Canada and Shudder UK)

The Halloween Hotline also returns for its second year. Each Friday in October from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., head curator Sam Zimmerman will be taking your phone calls live. Based on your taste, Sam will give you personalized movie recommendations from the Shudder library. Obviously, not all calls can be answered but Sam will do what he can. The phone number to call will be announced soon.

But wait, there’s more! In closing, the horror streaming service says they may have another surprise or two popping up in October. Not already one of their one million plus subscribers? New subscribers can receive a free 7-day trial subscription through their website.
