14. Jared Leto in Urban Legend

Jared Leto is certainly a household name. He’s been in a ton of movies, including American Psycho, The Little Things, and The Suicide Squad. However, there are a few movies of his that you have probably forgotten about.

One of those movies is Urban Legend, the 1998 slasher flick that had promise but didn’t quite meet its potential. Maybe I just say that as a huge fan of urban legends as a whole (and it’s why I checked out Supernatural at the very beginning). But it did have potential for something slightly different when it came to horror movies.

There are actually a few actors you may have forgotten were in this movie to start with, including Tara Reid and Loretta Devine, but they’d come back to you relatively quickly. Not so much with Leto considering how baby-faced he is despite him being the lead character. It’s one of those things about fresh faces, right?

Leto plays Paul Gardener, a journalism student who doesn’t really believe in the urban legends much. He soon decides that he probably should start believing them after all! Does he make it to the end? I’ll leave you to watch the movie again to find out.
