8. Naomi Watts in Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering

Year of release: 1996

Character played: Grace Rhodes

Despite being the lead actress in the movie, you’ve probably completely forgotten that Naomi Watts was in Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering. Actually, let’s be honest: you’ll have forgotten this horror movie even happened. Or you want to forget!

The first movie was a huge success. It’s one of the best horror movies out there, but the sequels slowly got worse. The Gathering didn’t receive great reviews when it was first made and it still isn’t well-loved, so it’s not surprising that it’s been forgotten about.

Watts played Grace Rhodes, a medical student who returns home to look after her mother. Her mother is agoraphobic, and returning home was really the last thing Grace wanted to do. However, what are you going to do for family?

It’s not really surprising June refuses to leave the house. She’s having strange dreams about children, and soon her younger children (Grace’s siblings) start showing the same symptoms as the children in her dream.

There is a huge family secret that is revealed throughout the movie. However, it’s not enough to make this worth watching too often.
