25 actors you forgot appeared in your favorite horror movies
5. Paul Rudd in The Curse of Michael Myers
Year of release: 1995
Character played: Tommy Doyle
Wait, Ant-Man was in a horror movie? Oh yes! In the 1995 movie in the franchise, Paul Rudd took on the lead role. Considering it is one of those sequels you probably forgot all about, it’s not surprising that you forgot Rudd was in it.
The character Tommy Doyle was one from the original movie. He was the young kid Laurie Strode babysat and did see Michael Myers during the movie. However, he managed to survive that and grow up into the character played by Paul Rudd.
Tommy ended up becoming obsessed with the serial killer and the Myers/Strode bloodline. He wanted to make sure Michael could never attack again. Of course, this is a horror movie franchise and Michael Myers just never seems to go away.
Rudd moved on from horror movies after the sixth movie in the franchise. He went on to land a recurring guest role on Friends, got parts in movies like 40-Year-Old Virgin and Anchorman, and would go on to star in the Ant-Man movies as the titular hero.
It’s okay if you’ve forgotten about the horror movie in his career. It was among his earlier work.
