23. Jennifer Morrison in Urban Legends: The Final Cut

Year of release: 2000

Character played: Amy Mayfield

You know her from House and Once Upon a Time, but did you know Jennifer Morrison was also in Urban Legends: The Final Cut? In fact, she’s the lead role in this movie.

There are a few faces you’ll recognize when you start watching the movie, including Loretta Devine and Joseph Lawrence. The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Davis is the lead male in the movie. However, none of them are as surprising as Morrison. It was her first lead role in a movie, so she was relatively fresh-faced on the scene.

She plays Amy, a film student who wants to win the school’s Hitchcock Award. However, there are others at her school who want to win the same thing, and some people may be willing to kill for it.

The movie as a whole isn’t great. There are a lot of predictable moments and it follows much of the same pattern as the first movie. Actually, it follows many of the same patterns from other slasher movies of the time. However, it does offer a twist at the end that promised more in the next movie, which would end up going straight to DVD.

If you want to see Morrison’s acting when she was just starting out, this is the movie for you.
