Horror movies you won’t want to watch alone: 29. House of Wax

Watching House of Wax is like being a teenager all over again, but with a murderous twist or two. With a cast that includes Jared Padalecki, Paris Hilton, Chad Michael Murray, and Elisha Cuthbert, you might not think that this movie would make the list. But there is something about this movie that really will leave you chilled.

When a group of friends finds themselves in what appears to be a ghost town of sorts, they turn to the one place that seems to still be open in this abandoned town – the wax museum. Run by twin brothers, this museum is definitely not what it appears to be. And these wax figures are a lot more terrifying than they appear.

Maybe it is me, but there is something terrifying about a museum filled with wax figures that were once actual humans. And what makes it worse? The fact that they were alive when they went into their wax prisons.

There are some moments in House of Wax that will leave you wishing you had never started watching this movie. And if you are anything like me, it will also change the way you think of Madame Tussaud’s in the future.
