How to watch Cruel Summer Season 1, Episode 3 live tonight

A brand new episode of Cruel Summer airs tonight on Freeform. You can watch Cruel Summer Episode 3, “Off With a Bang” at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on the network after a showing of The Little Mermaid. It makes sense that Freeform has chosen to air their newest series in the 10 p.m. timeslot as it’s definitely one of their mature shows.
In the two-part premiere of Cruel Summer, which included the first two episodes of the show, we got to see the events of June 25, 1993, 1994 and 1995 from the perspectives of both Jeanette and Kate.
We started the premiere with Jeanette, discovering that after Kate vanished, Jeanette seamlessly transitioned into the vacant space she left behind. Not only did Jeanette get a typical Hollywood “It Girl” makeover but suddenly she was friends with Kate’s friends and dating Kate’s boyfriend.
But then fast-forward and Kate is discovered being held captive in their assistant principal’s basement! And worse for Jeanette, Kate is suddenly accusing her of having seen her in his basement and not saying anything about it.
By the end of the second hour, Kate’s family is trying to sue Jeanette while Jeanette and her family finally decide to file a counter lawsuit against Kate for defamation. Which girl is telling the truth?
What’s happening in Cruel Summer Episode 3?
The next episode of Cruel Summer will continue exploring things from both girl’s perspectives and across these three pivotal years in their lives. Based on the description and promo for the episode, it looks like Jeanette and her mom will officially sit down with the cops in the past to combat Kate’s accusations. But as the promo highlights, at the end of the day, it’s Kate’s word versus Jeanette.
