Spotify is bringing us another new true crime podcast beginning Tuesday, June 15. Spotify’s International Infamy is the first of their podcasts to launch across the US, Mexico and Brazil on the same day.

International Infamy is an original podcast from Parcast, and its host is Ashley Flowers, who you may know from Crime Junkie, Very Presidential and Supernatural. This is her first time diving into international crimes, and she starts by presenting the story of the “Little Old Lady Killer” in Mexico.

International Infamy will explore a different high profile crime in each of its 15 episodes, and each is set in a different county (thus the word “International” in the podcast’s title). We will be learning about serial killers, mass murderers, and even about murders that may not have actually occurred.

This host of International Infamy definitely has podcast credentials

Host Ashley Flowers is the founder and CEO of audiochuck, which is a female-focused network. She executive produces and hosts audiochuck podcasts, while also hosting the Very Presidential and Supernatural podcasts for Parcast.

Ashley was fascinated with true crime from an early age, and wanted to become a detective at one time. Instead, she studied biomedical research at Arizona State University, and ended up doing genetics research before getting into software sales. Eventually, she made a decision to return to her original passion for true crime, and that’s when she got into the podcast business.

The International Infamy podcast seems like a good fit for Spotify, which recently brought us Welcome to Your Fantasy, Murder Ballads and Internet Urban Legends.

As we all know, true crime podcasts are a hot commodity these days, with many people (myself included) counting themselves among the true crime obsessed. Interested in International Infamy? You can listen to the trailer here, and you can tune in to the podcast on Spotify starting Tuesday, June 15.
