50 mythical creatures paired with each of the 50 states

Have you ever wondered which creature would represent your state? (No! Just us…well I have ideas anyway.) And these mythical creatures feel like a perfect fit.

If you’ve ever watched a horror movie, read a book of mythology, or even gotten swept up in folklore, then you already know that there are a lot of mythical monsters in the world. And as someone who loves all things paranormal, horror, and fantasy, it feels like there are more creatures and monsters out in the world than we could ever have imagined. Plus, that doesn’t even take into account all the comic book creatures that have been created and of course, the actual mythological creatures of days gone by.

Seriously, it feels like there is a creature for every occasion and location. And while the United States is still relatively young in terms of its history as a country, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its fair share of legends and lore. All this to say that there are a lot of creatures out there and I couldn’t resist an opportunity to pair monsters to the 50 states.

So which monster do you think should be paired up with your state? See what we did and by the end, we want to know if we did well with our creatures to state unions!
