The Addams family is unhappy to see you again in new sequel character posters

The Addams family is back and they’re unhappy to see you again in these new colorful character posters! Lionsgate is bringing back our favorite creepy family for another go-round as The Addams Family 2 is due to release this October.
Most of the first film’s voice cast is returning to reprise their roles for the animated horror comedy sequel including Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Granny, Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, and Snoop Dogg as IT.
Finn Wolfhard will not be returning to voice Puggsley and has been replaced by Javon “Wanna” Walton. Other newcomers include Bill Hader as a character named Cyrus and Wallace Shawn.
As for the story, the sequel will focus on Morticia and Gomez struggling to deal with their children growing up and becoming consumed by their own lives. To try and bond as a family, the gang will hit the road for one last family vacation across American that will be as miserable and ghoulish as possible.
Of course, as the Addams family treks across the USA, they’ll run into their fair share of strange shenanigans and maybe even meet up with a few weird cousins and other new characters.
Greg Tiernan, who directed the first film and other animated features like Sausage Party, returns to direct the sequel. The movie will go head-to-head with Sony Pictures’ new Hotel Transylvania film when it releases on the first weekend of October.
