What is the new episode of Evil Season 2 about?
The new episode of Evil sees the team investigating a nine-year-old girl who is apparently haunted by a Jinn, a spirit in the Islamic faith. Given the title, I’m guessing somehow fire will play a significant role in the episode just like angels did in last week’s episode titled “A is for Angel.”
Jinn, or djinns, are sort of like a genie in Islamic mythology. They can be benevolent or malevolent and are commonly depicted granting wishes, although these wishes can be sort of a monkey’s paw situation where if you’re not careful with the wording it can backfire terribly. Supernatural frequently included jinns in the show and a jinn is the main antagonist in the Wishmaster horror films. It’ll be interesting to see what version of the creature is presented in Evil.
