We have some exciting news for fans of horror movies, specifically A Quiet Place Part II. Despite only releasing in theaters at the end of May, the sequel film is coming to Paramount+ very soon.
The fast turnaround time is due to the recent decision by ViacomCBS to shorten the theatrical window for new releases. Some of the biggest releases will now go from theaters to the Paramount+ streaming service within 30 to 45 days of their initial debut.
A Quiet Place was a huge success when it first released in 2018, not only did it rake in over $341 million at the box office but it was critically acclaimed. And the film didn’t fall into the sequel curse, delivering a follow-up that was equally, if not more, acclaimed than the first outing.
As such, it makes sense that so many people are eager to rewatch the movie or see it for the first time if they didn’t get the chance to watch it in theaters.

A Quiet Place Part II is coming to Paramount+ on July 12, 2021. If you’ve been hesitant to sign-up for the streaming service, you’ll need to do so by then to watch the film as a subscription is required. The sequel picks up quickly after the events of the first film. With Lee dead, Evelyn is tasked with taking care of her two kids and newborn baby. Unable to stay in their old home, the Abbott family treks out into the terrifying unknown in search of a new place to live. They go to Lee’s friend, Emmett and try to use the weakness they discovered at the end of the first film to survive.
