Evil Season 3 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more
By Mads Lennon
We have some fantastic news for fans of the supernatural drama series Evil. ViacomCBS has greenlit Evil Season 3, the next season will premiere on Paramount+ like the sophomore season.
Evil initially premiered on CBS in 2019. The series did get renewed for a second season, but CBS opted to move the show to its streaming service Paramount+ instead. It’s fitting since Robert King and Michelle King’s other hit series The Good Fight is also currently airing on the same service.
Plus, Evil is a show better suited to a streaming service where it doesn’t feel as constrained by the limits of network television regarding its scary, violent content.
Evil Season 3 release date
Right now it’s a little challenging to predict when the third season of Evil will premiere because the show’s second season only started airing at the end of June. We’re not even halfway into the second season run right now.
Plus, since the first season aired in January and the second season aired in June, there isn’t a pattern to follow to predict the third season’s premiere date. The second season is expected to run through September, so it would make sense for the service to air its third season around the same time (June) in 2022.
When is Evil Season 3 coming to Netflix?
Evil Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix but we don’t know if the show’s other seasons will also be available on the service. If Season 2 does go to Netflix it probably won’t be until 2022, at the earliest, which would mean Season 3 wouldn’t go there until 2023. But odds are, ViacomCBS will want to keep their show exclusive to Paramount+ as much as possible.
Evil Season 3 cast
Assuming all the main cast members survive this season, then we can expect the new season to have the same people in it, maybe interspersed with some newcomers.
Right now the show stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Kurt Fuller, Marti Matulis, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco, Dalya Knapp, Christine Lahti, and Michael Emerson.
I would definitely expect Herbers, Colter, and Mandvi to return as they’re the show’s leads, and I would be very surprised if Kristen’s daughters disappeared.
Evil Season 3 synopsis & trailer
It’s much to early to predict what Evil Season 3 will be about or expect a Season 3 trailer. We should have a better idea of what direction the show will go for the next season by the time we get toward the end of the show’s sophomore run.
