Get ready to toss another coin to your witcher because Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) is returning to our screens in The Witcher Season 2 this winter. This year’s inaugural WitcherCon, hosted by CD Projekt Red and Netflix, came with tons of awesome surprises and reveals for the series ahead of its release.

The Witcher is a fantasy drama series set in a fictional, medieval-inspired land known as “the Contient.” While most people are familiar with the trilogy of games from CD Projekt Red, the show actually draws from the acclaimed book series of the same name by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

In 2019, the show’s first season was released on Netflix, based on The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, which are two collections of short stories that came before the main Witcher saga. The second season is releasing later this year and will see the return of Cavill, Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer.
