Where to stream Escape Room: Tournament of Champions?
By Mads Lennon
Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is an upcoming psychological horror film and a sequel to the 2019 movie Escape Room. After being moved around several times due to the pandemic, the sequel is finally releasing this weekend for fans eager to watch.
After surviving several deadly escape rooms designed by Minos Escape Rooms, Zoey and Ben are back and determined to seek justice for all of those they witnessed die in the first movie. On their way to confront Minos at their New York City headquarters, they find themselves trapped once again with a new group of people, all of whom are also survivors of other escape rooms from around the country.
Together, the group must work together to survive as the traps get more complex and deadly. Taylor Russell and Logan Miller are back to reprise their roles as Zoey and Ben, respectively, and they’re also joined by Teen Wolf alum Holland Roden, Pose star Indya Moore, Thomas Cocquerel, Carlito Olivero, and Orphan actress Isabelle Fuhrman.
Is Escape Room: Tournament of Champions available on Netflix?
Currently, no, the sequel film is not available to stream on Netflix. However, there is a good chance that it will eventually make its way to the streaming service, either by the end of this year or in 2022. Netflix and Sony Pictures recently announced a joint output deal that will see all Sony films go to Netflix as their streaming home.
Is Escape Room: Tournament of Champions available on Starz?
Previous Sony films like The Craft: Legacy and Fantasy Island went to Starz because prior to the Netflix deal, Lionsgate/Starz was the primary home for Sony movies.
It’s a little unclear when exactly films are going to start moving to Netflix instead of Starz, but since Sony releases that went straight to streaming like Fatherhood and Wish Dragon are both on Netflix, we can guess that Escape Room: Tournament of Champions will likely go there instead of Starz.
How can I watch Escape Room: Tournament of Champions right now?
Right now the only way you can watch the film is in theaters. Check your local theater listings for times near you as the film has been released nationwide today. Within a few months, the film should also release for digital purchase or rental via VOD where you can pay to watch the movie at home until it comes to streaming.
