Officers O’Leary and Minogue answer a noise complaint, only to find an orgytastic nest of ’70s ghosts partying it up in the afterlife. Wellington Paranormal Episode 3, aptly titled “70’s Ghost,” features the detectives trying to find the homeowner only to get roped into a house filled with spirits.

The first night that they visit, they assume they’re just dealing with normal people who can’t be bothered to turn down their music, but when O’Leary shuts down all the music, everyone in the room vanishes into thin air. Spooky stuff. Even creepier is when Minogue runs into what he believes is a “creature” with weird things sticking out of his face.

From there, they return to the station to consult with Sergeant Maaka. Maaka thinks the thing Minogue saw was an alien of some sort and the things on his face are antennae. Maaka believes they’ve stumbled upon ghosts especially since no one has lived in the house for over 40 years!

He recruits medium Chloe Patterson to try and communicate with the entities inside the house. O’Leary is skeptical of the medium, especially when she supposedly contacts Minogue’s grandfather, who is actually still alive.

With Mrs. Patterson in tow, the group returns to the house and find multiple ghostly partiers, including a group in a hot tub and that “creature” who is actually just a guy who died after falling facefirst into a cheese plate hence his new name in the afterlife, “Cheeseface.”

Wellington Paranormal Episode 3 recap: Mrs. Patterson vanishes in the house

Chloe is terrified when they all witness a young girl ghost walk straight through her and then through a wall. As she tries to run for it, one of the ghosts grabs her and yanks her into one of the spare rooms.

Minogue and O’Leary try searching the house to find Chloe and more clues to how the ghosts wound up here. O’Leary is shocked when it looks like the ghosts are writing “Welcome to Hell” in blood on the bathroom mirror but it’s really just “Welcome to Helen & Ray’s 20th Anniversary.”

Later, the cops find out that this party is hosted by Raymond St. John, the “party king,” when he possesses Chloe. They make Raymond realize that the other ghosts don’t want to spend eternity partying and are ready to go to the afterlife. Once the spirits are relinquished they go to a better place (or Hell!) and the party king is arrested for his crimes. Of course, since he’s a ghost he escapes the cop car when O’Leary and Minogue aren’t looking.
