Bailee Madison has joined the cast of HBO Max’s upcoming horror-tinged Pretty Little Liars reboot cast. Madison will portray “final girl” Imogen in the series, officially titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. You might recognize Madison from shows like Wizards of Waverly Place, Once Upon a Time, The Fosters, or the recently wrapped Hallmark series Good Witch.

Madison has also starred in a few horror movies, such as the 2010 film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and Strangers: Prey at Night. She joins previously announced cast members Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco in the upcoming reboot exclusive to HBO Max. The series will be helmed by Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

The 21-year-old actress took to Instagram to share the news with her fans. You’ll notice she used a few “A’s” in her message as a wink to the show’s original villain, who I’m sure will be returning for the reboot.

Who will Bailee Madison play in the Pretty Little Liars reboot cast?

According to TVLine, Madison’s character Imogen is at the heart of the mystery in the new series. She will be the one driving the storyline forward and pushing to solve the mystery as her life, and the lives of her friends and families are threatened.

The article also refers to the Liars as “final girls,” which fits with the new horror angle for the series. It makes me wonder if some of the Liars might actually be killed off this time around, something the original series was never bold enough to do. Or perhaps one of them might even wind up being “A”? I was one of those people who had always rooted for Aria to be A when the parent series aired on Freeform.
