A.P. Bio is getting a visit from Ash Williams himself. That’s right, the upcoming fourth season of A.P. Bio on Peacock will include a guest appearance from Bruce Campbell, reports Deadline.

For those who haven’t watched A.P. Bio yet, I strongly recommend it. The hilarious series initially debuted on NBC a few years ago before getting canceled after just two seasons. Then they decided to revive the series for Peacock, the NBCUniversal streaming service, for Season 3 and the upcoming Season 4.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a premiere date for A.P. Bio Season 4, although we do know that filming has wrapped on the new season.

Who will Bruce Campbell play in A.P. Bio Season 4?

Campbell is best known for his work on the classic horror franchise Evil Dead from Sam Raimi. Raimi is currently working hard on producing the next film in the franchise, Evil Dead Rise. Campbell also isn’t quite done battling deadites yet either, as he’ll return for the Evil Dead video game planned for a Q4 2021/2022 release.

But his next television role will be as John Griffin’s (Glenn Howerton) father in A.P. Bio. Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans likely recognize Howerton from the irreverent long-running FXX sitcom. How great is it going to be to see Campbell playing Howerston’s long-absent father?

According to the article, John will suddenly experience a “spiritaul awakening” and long to “reconnect with his adult son.” For those who have been watching A.P. Bio, they know how big of a deal this occasion is likely to be for Jack.

Apart from the sitcom, Campbell’s last television roles include appearances in AMC’s Lodge 49 and Fargo.
