7. Margaret Booth American Horror Story: 1984

With all the murderers roaming the grounds of Camp Redwood, it can be hard to decide who was the worst of the bunch. And yet we have Margaret Booth!

This is a woman who turns out to be a mass murderer and a psychopath. Not only did she murder her fellow camp counselors in 1970, but she also murdered children at the camp. That would be bad enough, but it isn’t. Because we don’t find out she is a murderer right away.

Instead, much of the blame is placed on Mr. Jingles. Too bad he wasn’t actually a killer until she turned him into one. Margaret Booth cut off her own ear and the ears of all the people she killed to set up the other man. She proved she was a psychopath and without remorse.

And yet, it doesn’t end there. She also reopens the camp in an effort to once again do her worst, which she does. She enables the murder of many of her counselors and she kills a few people on her own. She sets Richard Ramirez on her counselors, and she even covers up further murders and sets someone else up to take the fall for her again.

Margaret Booth is pure evil and she revels in it. She is a villain among villains and if it weren’t for some of the other villains in the world of AHS, she might actually have placed higher (but she doesn’t quite live up to the likes of Dandy Mott or James March).
