Based on the epic saga by Isaac Asimov of the same name, Foundation Season 1 is an upcoming Apple TV+ science fiction drama television series produced by David S. Goyer for Apple TV+. The series is set to premiere in September exclusively on the streaming service.
Bringing this ambitious series to life has been a significant undertaking for Apple and all parties involved. Goyer was quoted saying that since the saga takes place over 1,000 years, he hoped the show would run for at least 80 episodes to tell the entire breadth of the story rather than condensing it into truncated seasons or a film format. It’ll be interesting to see how the show is received and if it has the legs to carry on that long.
