Dandy Mott from American Horror Story: Freak Show

Played by: Finn Wittrock

Why the character was the worst: There were a few unlikeable people on American Horror Story: Freak Show, and Dandy Mott was definitely one of them. He was a pure psychopath with absolutely no empathy for anyone and no care in the world for anyone around him. He wanted what he wanted, and if he didn’t get it, he would kill.

At first, it looks like Dandy is just misguided and lost. He feels a connection with the Freak Show performers and wants to join the troupe. However, he has nothing that makes him different, and he isn’t even all that charismatic to pull off some sort of talent that would work for the troupe.

When he was turned down, his mother tried to entertain him by hiring a clown. That just led to Dandy going down a path of madness. After buying the Freak Show, he ends up forcing them to perform just for him and when the performers aren’t happy, he heads out on a murderous rampage. A few members manage to survive, but after spending so long getting to know and adore the various members of the troupe, we end up hating Dandy even more.

It turned out that Dandy’s mental health problems were passed down from generation to generation. The family line ended when Dandy got what was coming to him, though.
