Bloody Face from American Horror Story: Asylum

Played by: Zachary Quinto and Dylan McDermott

Why the character was the worst: Is it really possible to say that a psychopath is one of the worst American Horror Story characters, ever? Well, yes, it definitely is.

The original Bloody Face wasn’t really a psychopath. He was more of a sociopath considering the people skills he did have. This entry is mostly about him.

Zachary Quinto’s character, Oliver Thredson, looked like he was a good guy. He was a doctor who wanted to treat people, helping them with the things that ailed them mentally. That was all a front, allowing him to literally get away with murder. It wasn’t the actions (although they did make him awful) but the front that he put on that made him so terrible.

Despite knowing by season 2 what American Horror Story was about up to this point, we still didn’t fully see Oliver’s storyline coming. He was brilliantly written and developed. Lana got her revenge for him raping her by killing him at the end, protecting everyone else from his terrible actions.

McDermott’s Johnny Morgan was different. He didn’t really have the front to look like he fully belonged in society or a role that made him look like a good guy. Lana again was the one that brought his story to an end, saving more people from his psychopathic ways.
