Why the character was the worst: Was there really any need for Gary Longstreet? This was one of those characters that, like the Scathach, had a lot of potential but was underdeveloped and poorly used on American Horror Story.

He could have been a great villain. His choices and actions were head-scratching, though. His ability to vote was so important that he chose to cut off his hand instead of waiting another four years.

It’s not like his death even meant that much. He was locked in the abortion clinic and killed. What purpose did it serve?

Okay, I admit that Cult is one of my least favorite seasons of American Horror Story. I don’t have a lot of love for many of the characters, but Gary was just annoying. And if I’m honest, that’s what made him one of the worst.

He didn’t think for himself. All he wanted to do was prove that he was yet another cult member filled with hate, racism, homophobia, and much more. Maybe had he been developed a little better things would have been a little better for his story, although it definitely wouldn’t have made me like him.
