What is Emma Roberts’s best American Horror Story role?

When you are a badass witch and former movie star, is it any wonder that your afterlife version of hell is working retail? (Maybe that is just me.)

But seriously, Madison Montgomery is a queen. She was wicked but brilliant. A talented witch with a gift for telekinesis. In fact, she is so powerful that she can and has easily caused harm and death with her gifts when she is intoxicated.

While Madison doesn’t show a lot of personal character growth in her first outing in American Horror Story: Coven, she was still a fun character to watch and even root for at times. But where she really shined was during AHS: Apocalypse. It is here that we see her show signs of remorse, pain, even sadness over the loss of people she really did consider friends, even if she didn’t show that before.

In fact, she actually sacrifices herself for the coven and is killed by none other than Michael Langdon. However, she is also brought back from the dead by Michael, so that is a whole thing. And honestly, it just adds to her story and even her mystique.

We get to see glimpses of who she is in small ways throughout Coven, but once she hit the screen during Apocalypse, she proved to everyone that she was one of the most well-rounded witches of her entire coven. And we love that journey for her.
