What is Taissa Farmiga’s best American Horror Story role?
While we enjoyed Taissa Farmiga in Murder House and Apocalypse, it was her turn as Zoe Benson in American Horror Story: Coven that really captured our attention.
Throughout Coven, we learn the truth of who Zoe Benson is and what she can do, all while she is learning these same truths. Her character is a powerful witch, but one who initially had no idea that this was her heritage.
We watch as she grows into a true femme fatale in her own right, while also becoming powerful enough to be not only a member of the Witches Council but also an instructor for other young women learning to control their gifts. In fact, by the time we meet her again in Apocalypse she has become a valued instructor at Miss Robichaux’s Academy.
As Zoe Benson, we watched Farmiga go from someone who is frightened and maybe even insecure to a powerful woman able to stand up against those who would try to stop her and her fellow witches.
There was something powerful about Zoe by the end of Coven, and watching the character grow into this woman throughout the season made her shine. This was a brilliant performance all around and one that we enjoy watching every single time we watch the season over again.
