What is Dylan McDermott’s best American Horror Story role?

Perhaps one of the most iconic seasons of American Horror Story is its very first season, Murder House. It is the one that sets the tone for all the rest and it is the one that every other season has had to live up to.

And one of the reasons for that is the Harmon family, and in particular, Ben Harmon played by Dylan McDermott. Ben is the reason his family even moves to the Murder House and his inability to keep it in his pants certainly contributes to the issues he faces in this house before his untimely demise leaves him as a ghost haunting the house and anyone unfortunate enough to enter those doors.

Every time he pops up, he is a scene-stealer. And while we have appreciated Dylan McDermott in other roles in the AHS world, especially as Johnny Morgan in Asylum, his most iconic and memorable role will always be that of Ben Harmon.

Ben Harmon will always be one of the more memorable characters to pop up in the series and the fact that they have brought the character back in multiple installments is proof that we are not the only ones who realize just how important Ben has been to the AHS mythos. And hopefully, we see more of him down the road, no matter what happened to the Murder House thanks to American Horror Stories.
