What is Zachary Quinto’s best American Horror Story role?

Although Zachary Quinto only appeared in two seasons of American Horror Story, the fact that he was part of the first two seasons makes a big difference. He is what I consider to be a legacy actor of the franchise. Someone who helped build it into what it is.

It also helps that in American Horror Story: Asylum, his character is the main killer of the season. By day he is a doctor doing his part to help the patients at the asylum and by night he is the killer known as Bloody Face. Too bad his do-gooder doctor role is just an act.

The thing about Zachary Quinto is that he is a brilliant actor. He knows how to deliver when it comes to depth and emotion. And he is a truly convincing psychopath.

In Asylum, you can never quite tell which face he will present at any given time, and in some cases, it seems as if the mentally unwell portion of his personality tries to break free when it shouldn’t. He has us convinced at first, that he is a good guy. And then we learn the truth and you can see the madness that tries to remain hidden behind his fake smiles and those glasses.

As Dr. Oliver Thredson, Zachary Quinto proves why he deserves to be ranked among the best performances, even with only two seasons under his belt. He gets to break the rules because as a villain, that is exactly what he was best at.
