What is Gabourey Sidibe’s best American Horror Story role?

Gabourey Sidibe has popped up on multiple seasons of American Horror Story, and in many cases, she played the exact same character – Queenie. And while her turn as Regina Ross was a decent character, there is no way to have this list and not include Queenie.

As a member of the titular coven in the third season of the series, Queenie was a human voodoo doll, making her dangerous to others.

Throughout Coven, we watch as she continues to prove that she is a strong woman with a heritage that not many others can claim. She grows to a point where she is able to become an instructor at the very same academy where she herself was instructed. But not only that, but her strength allowed her to become a member of the Witch’s Council.

During her first season, Queenie proves to be a whiz at math and is one of the only people to ever find a way to take on Papa Legba and have him do the dirty work for her. It was a fascinating storyline and one that worked beautifully. And it cemented her place in AHS history.

Whether we are seeing her in Coven, Hotel, or Apocalypse, Queenie is a commanding figure, able to knock people off their pedestals with ease. And that means that they can’t knock her down because she is already at the top of her game.
