The latest horror film from the twisted mind of James Wan is finally almost here! If you’re looking to find out where to watch Malignant, we’ve got all the information on the movie you need to watch as soon as it becomes available.

Malignant is a supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. It’s the first horror movie he’s directed since The Conjuring 2 in 2016. For the most part, Wan has been busy producing lots of stuff but has aimed his directing talents at DC’s Aquaman movies. He’s currently directing the Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, set for a 2022 release.

Needless to say, fans are hyped about Malignant as Wan has delivered some excellent horror movies in his career, including Saw, The Conjuring, Insidious, and Dead Silence.

Where to watch Malignant: HBO Max and in theaters

The good news is that you have a few options regarding where to watch Malignant. The first and likely easiest option is to watch it at home via HBO Max. If you have the ad-free tier subscription, then you can start watching as soon as 3:00 a.m. ET on Friday, September 10, or 12:00 a.m. if you’re on the west coast.

But if you’d rather see Malignant in theaters to get the full-screen experience, you can do that too, as the film will have a simultaneous release on streaming and in cinemas like all of Warner Bros. other big movies this year due to the pandemic.

Where to watch Malignant: Will it be streaming on Netflix?

It is unlikely that Malignant will ever be available on Netflix. I mean, never say never in this day and age but considering HBO Max is WarnerMedia’s streaming service, there is no real reason they would send the film to a competing one.

When will Malignant be available to rent and purchase digitally?

If you’re someone who likes to own movies either physically or digitally, Malignant should be available to purchase digitally sometime in early November. The physical release will probably follow by the end of November, or early December based on the trajectory of previous Warner Bros. releases like Space Jam: New Legacy and In the Heights.
