What else is coming to Netflix and Chills this year?

September 19:

Dark Skies – A near perfect mashup of sci-fi and horror, Dark Skies stars Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton as a married couple raising two sons while struggling financially. Strange and very frightening events happening in their home lead them to believe that aliens are afoot.

September 22:

Intrusion – In this home invasion thriller, a young couple’s home is broken into. As the wife tries desperately to find answers, she begins to distrust everyone around her.

September 24:

Midnight Mass (series) – All hail the return of Mike Flanagan to Netflix! The creator of The Haunting of Hill House takes us to an isolated island, where the inhabitants are shaken up by the arrival of a mysterious, magnetic priest (Hamish Linklater, Tell Me Your Secrets). Returning Hill House and Bly Manor alumni include Kate Siegel, Annabeth Gish, Rahul Kohli and Henry Thomas.

September 29:

The Chestnut Man – Police in Copenhagen are horrified to find a murdered woman with one of her hands missing. That’s bad enough, but lying next to the body is a small figure made up of chestnuts. Evidence found on the figure may lead them to the discovery of another missing girl.

No One Gets Out Alive – An immigrant wanting to live the American dream finds herself forced to stay in a nightmarish boarding house.

In October:

Locke and Key: season 2 – The return of Joe Hill’s Netflix series Locke & Key brings back the Locke family and the fascinating Keyhouse.

October 1:

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Season 1 – This Canadian-American anthology series aired on Nickelodeon in the mid-90s, and now you can catch the first season on Netflix. Each episode tells a spooky story, and the popular books were actually based on the television series.

The Cave – A group of cave divers and scientists are trapped in a Romanian cave while exploring. Just as in The Descent (which was released the same year), they encounter horrifying creatures while trapped underground.

The Devil Inside – This found footage film explores what happens to a woman whose mother killed three people after being possessed. In an attempt to get answers about her mother, Isabella exposes herself to multiple exorcisms.

Ghost – I challenge you to close your eyes and listen to the song Unchained Melody without picturing Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and a pottery wheel.

Till Death – Cheating Emma (Megan Fox) decides to give her marriage one more chance during a romantic trip to a secluded lake house. She soon finds herself handcuffed to her dead husband, fighting for her life against two strangers.

Zodiac – David Fincher’s mystery thriller explores the infamous Zodiac killer, who may have murdered as many as 37 people in the late 1960s. This taut, fascinating film features an all-star cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey, Jr., Brian Cox and Chloe Sevigny.
