Is Dylan O’Brien returning as Stiles in the Teen Wolf revival movie?

With the news that a Teen Wolf revival movie is officially happening at Paramount Plus, fans are dying to know if Dylan O’Brien is returning as Stiles.

Earlier today, Variety exclusively announced that a Teen Wolf revival was set at Paramount Plus as part of a new overall deal series creator Jeff Davis recently signed with MTV entertainment Studios. This multi-year deal will see him write and executive produce the film. The news comes on the four-year anniversary of the show’s original finale on MTV.

Fans have been begging for a follow-up or continuation of Teen Wolf since the series finale. Originally, there were rumors that there might be another season or a podcast continuation of the show, but neither ever came to fruition. Since then, the cast has moved on to other projects with star Tyler Posey, who played Scott McCall, focusing more on his music career.

Holland Roden, who portrayed the banshee Lydia Martin during all six seasons, has done several horror films over the last few years. Then there is Tyler Hoechlin, a.k.a. Derek Hale, who went on to play the Man of Steel in The CW’s Superman & Lois series.

But perhaps most famous of all is Dylan O’Brien, who starred as Scott’s best friend, Stiles Stilinski. A fan-favorite character, fans are most eager to know if O’Brien will be back to play him in the revival, especially because the actor was absent for most of the sixth and final season.

Is Dylan O’Brien going to be back to play Stiles in the Teen Wolf revival movie?

Right now, we don’t know which actors are returning apart from Posey, who has been vocal about wanting to return as McCall since the show wrapped and all but confirmed his involvement on social media. JR Bourne (Chris Argent), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), Dylan Sprayberry (Liam Dunbar) also posted specifically about the movie on their Instagram accounts.

O’Brien hasn’t said anything about the revival on his Twitter account, nor did he post anything to celebrate the Teen Wolf anniversary. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything, though, just that we don’t know yet if he’ll be back.

Many of the original cast members are being eyed to return. Apart from the actors mentioned above, Roden shared some love for the show a few days ago, as did Colton Haynes (Jackson Whittemore). These could all be indications that these actors, at least, are interested in reprising their original roles.

**UPDATE** Linden Ashby, who plays Stiles’s dad on the show, has seemingly confirmed that O’Brien is returning as Stiles.
