Locke and Key Season 2 trailer shows new keys being forged

It’s time to return to Keyhouse. Netflix has released the official Locke and Key Season 2 trailer teasing what is to come in the upcoming sophomore season of the series. For those who need a quick refresher, Locke and Key is based on the best-selling comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez for IDW Entertainment.
The first season saw the Locke family return to their ancestral home Keyhouse after the family patriarch was brutally murdered. The three Locke siblings soon discover that the house itself and the magical keys within might all be connected to their father’s death.
The series stars Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Petrice Jones, Bill Heck, Thomas Mitchell Barnett, Coby Bird, Jesse Camacho, Asha Bromfield, Griffin Gluck, Hallea Jones, Aaron Ashmore, Liyuo Abere and Brendan Hines.

Netflix released the official Locke and Key Season 2 trailer earlier today. You can watch it yourself below.
The new trailer teases the ominous return of Dodge, who took the form of Gabe at the end of last season. Based on the trailer, it sounds like the Locke siblings are convinced Dodge is no longer in the picture, so it’s going to be a nasty surprise for them when they find out that isn’t true.
We also get to see glimpses of new keys being forged, including one that appears to let the user walk on water! And it also looks like the kids show Duncan (Aaron Ashmore) how to use the mind key. Watching the trailer, it became apparent that this season might be darker and scarier than Season 1 with creatures running amok and dangerous beings lurking in the shadows. I wonder if the show got a bigger budget this time around?
When does Locke and Key Season 2 come out?
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to watch the highly anticipated second season of Locke and Key. The ten-episode Season 2 will premiere on Friday, Oct. 22 exclusively on Netflix.
