Killer Camp Season 2, Episode 1 recap: Who was Bruce’s first victim?

Killer Camp Season 2 is finally here, and the first episode was an absolute blast to watch. It didn’t take long for our 13 new campers to witness their friends get killed in increasingly disturbing ways throughout the opening hour.

In fact, I think it was within the first 10 minutes of the episode that we saw our first death! One of the “nerds” of the group visited the outhouse, and no sooner did he enter than Bruce the killer steamrolled him and the entire outhouse with his trailer. Poor Bobby, his time on Killer Camp was short but sweet.

Killer Camp Season 2 premiere: Valentina wins immunity during the duel

There were two main challenges in this episode. Bobby instructed the campers to travel across a giant lubed-up pole to rescue one of his inflatable animals for the first challenge. The survivors earned more than $2,000 in their overall prize pot, and the killer got $725.

Then in the second challenge, the campers had to duel against each other by shooting blood-soaked arrows. Any bloody campers were immediately eliminated. Valentina came out on top and chose Lexi to share her immunity. Most of the campers were surprised since sparks had been flying between Valentina and Clyde. Ironically, Lexi also seems to have feelings for Clyde, making for an exciting love triangle.

Killer Camp Season 2 premiere: Who is the first real victim?

While we did see Bruce kill someone, in the beginning, the stakes weren’t the same as for the big kill of the episode. Bobby narrates one camper’s death in a spectacularly dramatic fashion around the campfire at the end of each installment. This week the two potential victims came down to Clyde and Basil.

Guess who comes out alive? Clyde. Poor Basil. The killer lured him into a vintage ice cream truck and then blasted him with liquid nitrogen, freezing him solid. To cap it all off, Bruce swings a baseball bat at Basil’s head, and he explodes all over the forest floor.

The campers were left horrified by this campfire tale, and many became somewhat suspicious of Clyde. Is it possible he’s the killer, and he nominated himself as a way to distract the others? I guess we’ll find out!
