What’s next for the Dark Pictures Anthology?

Did you play House of Ashes yet? House of Ashes is the latest release in the Dark Pictures Anthology, a series of survival horror games with roots stretching back to the iconic Until Dawn.

In House of Ashes, you have to keep several characters alive (or not) after they fall into an ancient Mesopotamian temple during the Iraq War infested with terrifying creatures of the dark. Depending on your choices, all the characters can live, all can die, or you can save a few and kill the rest.

These games are known for their cinematic quality and compelling storytelling, along with genuine scares. But now that House of Ashes has been released, fans are interested in what’s coming next from the game series. Luckily, we already know what to expect from the next game, which will be released about one year later, in October 2022.

What’s next for the Dark Pictures Anthology?

The next game in the series is called The Devil in Me. It will follow a group of documentary filmmakers who tour a serial killer’s house similar to H.H. Holmes’s infamous Murder Castle. Of course, it doesn’t take long for them to realize something more sinister going on inside the house, with someone watching the filmmakers.

We don’t have an exact release date yet for this game, but it makes for an exciting addition to the series, which has now featured a ghost ship with Man of Medan, a creepy small town with Little Hope, and then the most recent entry, House of Ashes.
