Hocus Pocus 2: Everything we know so far about the sequel

With new casting additions and a brief teaser, there’s plenty to get excited about regarding Disney+’s upcoming Hocus Pocus 2. Keep reading to find out everything we know about the highly-anticipated sequel so far.
Earlier this year, Disney officially announced that they were making a sequel to the cult classic set for release in 2022 with original stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy returning to star as the legendary Sanderson witches. Anne Fletcher will direct the movie, and Adam Shankman will serve as an executive producer.
The new movie is sure to become as popular as the original, which is a Halloween staple viewed by countless people year after year. It’s one of the best holiday movies to watch each October.
Hocus Pocus 2 gets a fun teaser
Disney+ gave fans a special All Hallow’s Eve treat with the release of a mini-clip showing the iconic black flame candle from the original film. You can also hear the “Come Little Children,” instrumental playing in the background as the clip zooms in on the candle flame.
New cast additions in Hocus Pocus 2
The official Disney+ Twitter account revealed several exciting casting additions joining the sequel, including Gossip Girl‘s Whitney Peak and Ted Lasso‘s Hannah Waddingham. Sam Richardson, who recently starred in the hilarious horror-comedy film Werewolves WIthin, has joined the cast alongside Tony Hale, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson, Belissa Escobedo, Lilia Buckingham and Nina Kitchen.

We don’t have an official trailer or even full-length teaser yet but expect to see new content soon as filming continues on the movie.
