UPDATE: There are eight episodes total in Chucky Season 1.

After airing its fourth episode, many fans are curious how many episodes they can expect from Chucky Season 1. Are we halfway through the show? Or are there more episodes to come?

Chucky is a big hit for SYFY and NBCUniversal. Currently, new episodes of the show air Tuesday nights at 10/9c, simulcast on SYFY and USA Network. The premiere episode became one of the highest-rated premieres on SYFY in several years.

Based on the long-running Child’s Play franchise, Chucky functions as a sequel to the most recent film (not counting the 2019 reboot) Cult of Chucky, which was released in 2017. The show directly ties into the movie, although you don’t have to have seen any of the films to watch the series.

You can expect to see more fan-favorite characters from the franchise show up later this season, including Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) and Chucky’s long-time girlfriend Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly). But Chucky has also introduced us to many new characters including the main character Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), his cousin Junior (Teo Briones), the resident mean girl Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Jake’s crush Devon (Björgvin Arnarson).

How many episodes are there in Chucky Season 1?

Chucky Season 1 either consists of eight episodes or ten episodes. Unfortunately, there are multiple sources saying different things. Websites like Men’s Health and Distractify claim the season has eight episodes while Newsweek and IMDb say ten.

If I had to guess, I would say eight episodes sounds more accurate as I’ve seen more sources reporting eight than ten. It’s strange that IMDb says ten, but IMDb isn’t always accurate. Either way, we know we have at least four more episodes to watch, at the very least. We should have a more accurate episode count in the next few weeks.
