How many episodes will there be in Dexter: New Blood?
By Mads Lennon
With Dexter: New Blood finally premiering, many fans are wondering just how many episodes they’re guaranteed to spend with Dexter Morgan this time around.
Is anyone else as thrilled as I am that there are new episodes of Dexter airing in 2021? What a time to be alive. The premiere episode was fantastic and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Dexter and his “Dark Passenger” as this miniseries continues. Even if the revival ends up being limited to just one season, if it has a solid ending, I’ll be happy.
But how many episodes can we expect from the revival?
Dexter: New Blood episode count
According to reports and the production schedule, Dexter: New Blood will consist of 10 episodes, meaning we still have at least nine more to go before the show wraps (likely forever, but who knows?).
Interestingly, Showtime doesn’t appear to have any breaks in Dexter‘s airing schedule planned despite the holidays coming up. Right now, the show seems to be running nonstop through to January 9, 2022, when the finale is currently scheduled.
For now, this is the plan for the remainder of the season, courtesy of Futon Critic, although keep in mind that this might not be 100% accurate or could change.

However, Showtime released the first episode, long before the 9 p.m. linear debut, so future episodes might also be available as early as Saturday night if you don’t mind staying up late.
You can always rewatch the other seasons of Dexter anytime on Showtime too, or through Amazon Prime Video or free on the Roku Channel.
