Chucky Episode 5 had a lot going on with some shocking reveals and the return of fan-favorite characters. But who became Chucky’s latest victim? So far, not a single episode of the Chucky TV series has gone by without the psychopathic Good Guy doll killing at least one person and this week is no different.
With so much going on this week, it would have been easy for the show to end on an ominous note of Chucky lurking in the shadows and preparing to strike his next victim, but instead, the doll makes his entrance a dramatic one by leaving yet another victim in his wake. So, who ends up on the chopping block in this week’s episode?
Chucky Episode 5 recap: Chucky leaves Principal McVey headless
Poor Principal McVey (Jana Peck). She only appeared in a handful of episodes so far, but it’s the end of the road for her character. At least she got to go out in an epic way. After transferring a piece of his soul into Caroline’s new Good Guy doll, “Tommy,” Chucky announces that he’s back to a horrified Lexy, Devon and Jake by beheading the principal onstage at a school function.
Lexy’s mom, Mayor Michelle Cross, had just finished giving a speech about the recent deaths when she opened the curtains to introduce the principal and got her headless corpse sitting beneath a spotlight instead. McVey’s actual head rolled forward with a final, creepy, blink.
Earlier in the episode, Devon, Lexy and Jake did everything they could to brutally kill and smash the former possessed Good Guy doll, unaware that Chucky had already body-swapped out of it. Of course, the people in the audience don’t know the doll killed McVey, but those three sure do.
Let’s just hope that Devon’s mom and the other people around don’t somehow blame Jake for this death.
New episodes of Chucky air Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SYFY and USA Network.
