Travel Channel and discovery+ announced that The Haunted Museum and Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life have each been renewed for a second season. Each of the series received high ratings when they debuted during the discovery plus “Ghostober” push.

The Haunted Museum is a scripted anthology series that tells tales behind the haunted artifacts in Zak Bagans’ Las Vegas Museum. Those who follow the long-running series Ghost Adventures on Travel Channel know Zak as one of the paranormal investigators. Bagans co-executive produces the series with Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever, Eli Roth’s History of Horror) and provides commentary.

Bagans is a fervent collector of haunted and cursed items, which he displays in his museum, and if you ever wondered what sort of artifacts can be seen there, watching The Haunted Museum is one way to find out. Not only do you get to see the items, but you can also find out about their history.

Obviously, Roth is also the producer of Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life, which is part docuseries and partly scripted. In the series, real people are interviewed about their personal, devastating stories involving ghosts, with parts of the stories told through scripted reenactments.

Many of the people featured on the series have had their lives turned upside-down, and now have to deal with the emotional and physical scars they are left with.

discovery+ has really stepped up their true crime and paranormal content over time, with October being a banner month. With both Bagans and Roth being a big draw for the horror crowd, it’s no wonder the two series were so successful.

In a statement about the series’ renewals, Matthew Butler, general manager of Travel Channel and Paranormal Streaming Content pronounced discovery+ “thrilled” to bring back Zak Bagans and Eli Roth. He said The Haunted Museum and Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life “are the scariest horror anthology series we’ve ever created, and we can’t wait to get back into production.”

The first seasons of both series are available to stream now on discovery+.

Subscribers to discovery+ can stream the first seasons of both series, with all episodes currently available. If you are not a current subscriber, you can remedy that by visiting the website, where you can receive a free 7-day trial subscription.
