It’s Sunday, and that means we’ve just gotten to see another episode of Dexter: New Blood. If you’re all caught up on the fourth episode, you probably want to know what you can expect from Dexter: New Blood episode 5 and when to anticipate it airing on Showtime. We’ve got all the details you’ll need to watch the latest episode and prepare for what’s to come below.

In the most recent episode, Dexter found confirmation that Harrison is probably struggling with a Dark Passenger of his own. Harrison and Ethan end up in a violent confrontation after Ethan shows Harrison his bloody drawings and intended kill list, resulting in Harrison stabbing him and putting him in the hospital. Of course, Harrison tells the public and his dad that he was acting in self-defense, but Dexter soon deduces the truth.

Dexter: New Blood episode 5 release date

The next episode, titled “Runaway,” will premiere next Sunday, December 5, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Showtime has been releasing episodes of Dexter: New Blood early via their app, so you will also be able to watch the episode as early as Sunday, December 5, at 12:01 a.m. ET/PT if you don’t want to wait to watch live on television.

The official Showtime synopsis teases that Dexter will have to take extreme measures to protect his son from drugs. Harrison revealed that he was sober in an earlier episode, but photos for next week’s installment show him in the hospital. Perhaps the stress of everything that happened with Ethan caused him to relapse, and Dexter lets his Dark Passenger out to kill the person who gives Harrison access to drugs.

Meanwhile, Angela and Molly go on a road trip to learn more about the missing girls and start to look differently at a well-respected member of their community. I’m assuming they’re going to find out something sinister about Kurt Caldwell, or perhaps the petro-billionaire Edward Olsen (though I’m not sure he’s considered “well-respected”).
