Did Killer Camp get canceled? Where can you watch Killer Camp season 2?

Even though we’re now into December, many fans are wondering what happened to Killer Camp season 2, which premiered on October 10, 2021, and then aired two episodes before subsequently vanishing from The CW.

Last year, Killer Camp was one of the network’s international pandemic imports to fill out their schedule, while most shows were on hiatus due to the lockdown. It did well enough that The CW renewed it for a second season to be produced under the actual CW banner. Fans were excited to watch the sophomore season, but the show hasn’t aired a new episode since the October 17 airing of season 2, episode 2. What happened?

Did Killer Camp get canceled?

For starters, Killer Camp has not been officially canceled, although the show’s future does look bleak. The CW pulled it from the air without any real reason given. However, it’s not hard to figure out the most likely explanation: the ratings were terrible. The CW isn’t exactly known for being a rating powerhouse, but even for this network, season 2’s ratings sunk pretty far compared to the show’s first season.

Killer Camp season 2 launched with just 155,000 viewers and a 0.05 in the 18-49 demo, with the second episode attracting 164,000 viewers and a 0.03 in the demo. In comparison, season 1 netted at least 400,000 viewers per episode and a demo between 0.12-0.14. That means the show decreased drastically by 69.23% in the demo and 63.25% in overall viewers.

Supposedly, The CW will air the rest of the season at some point. If we had to guess, next summer seems like a good bet. But, surprisingly, they haven’t just dumped the remaining six episodes on the app or website.
