The most recent episode of Yellowjackets, “Bear Down,” saw the survivors practicing with the guns found inside the cabin. Natalie and Travis prove themselves as the most adept marksmen, so they’re tasked with hunting and bringing home food for the group. The two actually start bonding along the way, and we see a softer side of Travis.

In 2021, Taissa attends a gala in the hopes of winning funding from a financier at the party. Unfortunately, Diane is more interested in getting juicy gossip out of Taissa than in discussing the real issues Taissa has built her campaign on. Elsewhere, Shauna goes on a date with Adam and finally discovers that Travis is dead.

According to the official synopsis for Yellowjackets episode 5, “Blood Hive,” the next episode will see the girls braving their first period since becoming stranded in the woods. Since girls are known to sync up when they spend a lot of time together, many of them will be menstruating at one time, which I’m sure will be something challenging for them all to handle and adjust to.

The fifth episode is set around Halloween time, at least in 2021. But in the past, the sentiment is also alive and well as the survivors plan a “dark arts” slumber party out in the wilderness. On All Hallows Eve, Shauna decides to party like it’s still 1996.
